As a young twenty year old man looking for employment, Ben Craft responded to an ad in the newspaper looking for school bus drivers. At the time he had no idea where that job would eventually lead him, it was simply a way to make some money. During his tenure he came to know the county school bus mechanic, Bucky Buckman. Bucky was a very close friend to the owner of Orlando Speedworld and New Smyrna Speedway. When the track began racing school buses, Bucky asked Ben if he would participate and Ben jumped at the chance.

Since that time Ben has raced in every Figure-8 School Bus Race. However, he has yet to finish with a win. He eventually began to branch out into demolition derbies, both 4 cylinder and 8 cylinder. Above all he still enjoys racing a school bus the most. He especially enjoys it when some students, whom he transports daily, decide to come out with their parents and watch him race a school bus. After seeing him race, the parents feel much safer having their child ride with him to school everyday.

Currently, Ben participates in any demolition derby he can and will race any school bus given to him.
